Treatment with chemical peels dates back hundreds, if not thousands of years. Today, performing physician-strength
chemical peels has almost become a lost art. Although lasers are now considered new and "high-tech," for some patients,
and for some aesthetic problems, a chemical peel can provide better results.
There are various types and strengths of chemical peels. Shayas customizes the treatment for each patient, depending
on the skin condition being treated. For example, there is a general "freshening" peel, a peel to improve fine lines
and wrinkles, a peel to reduce excess pigmentation, and a peel to improve acne.
Treatment is painless, with only a brief feeling of mild to moderate warmth. Skin reaction after treatment depends on
the strength of the chemical peel. Mild to moderate redness may occur immediately after treatment. After a few days,
mild to moderate flaking of the skin may occur. A good sunscreen and moisturizer is required for a few days after treatment,
and sun exposure should be minimized.
A series of chemical peels can be done to freshen the skin, to reduce signs of aging and sun damage, to
reduce hyperpigmentation, and to improve acne. Maintenance peels can then be done on a regular basis to continue
the improvement. In addition, a chemical peel can be used in combination with many other aesthetic treatments, such

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion uses very tiny particles that are thrown across the skin to remove dead and superficial
skin cells. This process is practically painless and lasts for about half an hour. This procedure is used mainly
to treat superficial aberrations of epidermis and give a new glow to skin. The blown off particles are collected by
vacuum. You can immediately go back to work.

BOTOX ®
BOTOX ® Therapy is approved by the FDA to eliminate lines and wrinkles on the face. It is a simple and safe procedure

Acne
Acne: What Is It?
Acne is one of the most common skin disorders. The most common form of acne is called acne vulgaris.
On this website, whenever we refer to acne, we are referring to acne vulgaris, unless we specify.
Acne is a disease of hair follicles and develops in stages. Beginning with blackheads and whiteheads acne may
develop into large nodules and cysts. Acne not only disfigures skin, but also affects the psychology of the person
suffering from it. That is why it is important to treat it as soon as possible.
We have hair follicles all over our body except a few places such as lips, palms and the soles of our feet.
These follicles are connected with sebaceous glands. Hair also grows out from these hair follicles. When the
pores of the hair follicles get blocked, acne develops.
In the first stage, acne begins as whiteheads and blackheads. Blackheads are called open comedones and whiteheads are called closed comedones.
The second stage of acne is pimples or zits. They are also known as papules and pustules. Pimples form when the
plugged pores get inflamed. When pimples get further infected and inflamed, the third stage of acne develops. These are called as nodules and cysts.
Acne will not always develop into the more severe stages. It may stop growing after the first stage.

Microdermabrasion2
You will often find microdermabrasion treatment being referred to as "sand
blasting". In this process a high-pressure stream
of aluminum oxide crystals is used to superficially peel the upper layer of the skin.
In most of the cases microdermabrasion treatment uses units which are closed-loop negative pressure systems
that pass aluminum oxide crystals into the skin using negative vacuum pressure.
But sometimes you will also find use of magnesium oxide and sodium bicarbonate crystals. And in some cases sodium chloride crystals and positive pressure are used.
In microdermabrasion treatment you will find microcrystals being deposited on the skin
through rapid and short strokes of the hand piece. There is a tub within the handpiece
of the machine. And you know, it aspirates the crystals and the skin debris at the same time.
The vacuum pressure and the particle flow rate caused by it determine the volume of particles influencing the skin and causing the abrasion.
Skin depth also plays a key role in the microdermabrasion outcome.
Factors like flow of crystals, speed of movement of the hand piece and the number of passes per anatomic site.
